I just had a new block heater cord installed, but the little rubber cover that protects the prongs of the plug fell off. Must not have been secured well enough. I have been everywhere trying to find one of these little rubber covers with the strap so I can tie it to the cord but I am not having any luck in my town. Does anyone know a website where I can order one of these ? Thanks.
Maybe PM PartsguyED and see if he can get you one. Not sure if Lowes or Home Depot carries something like that. Or the wrecking yard like previously mentioned
Maybe you can make a cover out of one of these. Cut the metal prongs off, wire a zip tie leash to it and the heater cord and be on your way. It would fit nice and tight on the heater plug, that's for sure.
Ponyboychris, Good idea. I had a friend who suggested that & if I cannot find a plug cover I guess I will just use one of these. You would think some of these Powerstroke gurus or shops would sell these.

I would take it to the next level. You could secure the female plug to the truck and then plug it in when you go down the road. You could squirt a load of dielectric grease in there as well so you protect it from corrosion.
Another option would be to hack off the perfectly good plug and put in a Marinco plug. Self sealing!!!
