Nice job and fun hobby. We don't get those plastic scale models around here any more mostly diecast. That 56 in the background looks interesting. Have any more pics of that.

Very likely it`s the stock Y-Block, distributor is on the rear of these engines.

I went a step further by getting two models and painting them different schemes - my color choice and my wife's choice. Tough decision this will be! Of course I'm a long ways from paint so I will probably pick up a couple more models and paint them other colors by the time I'm ready.

On a side note, my frame goes in for painting this week and I think this is my 100th post!

Wouldn't be hard to move the gas cap. If it is ceramic you could file off the one on the cab and make a new one on the bed. If it is plastic you could use an exacto knife to lift it and reglue it. If it bothers you.

I like the idea of painting a model or two with my wife so that we can "see" what each other wants in paint scheme. I hadn't thought of that!

Now to find a quick model that is part 1960 and part 56!

Great idea. Thanks.

Big IV i thought about moving the gas tank like you suggested...then fill the stock indent with model puddy...

"my ford truck'...I wonder if the f-100 on the right in your picture is the same color as mine...I used actual glacier blue base coat that i'll be painting my large truck...fancy that
