hesitation at take off-6.0 psd
recently my 2004 f350 developed a hesitation at takeoff. the first and only thing i have tried was to change the fuel filters. i just changed them but htought i would try as it never hurts. problem is still there. it feels like it is getting starved for fuel. has anyone had this issue or anyhting like it? trying to avoid another trip to the shop. thnaks for the help......

sounds like your vanes are sticking. does it whistle a lot in am, or luck of the whistle?
does it idle ok?
more details would help.
can you have somone check the codes, you might have underboost or overboost, or VGT code . you can pull them only with diesel specific scanner.
and you just might be able to clean the turbo yourself....

it is staying in the high 30's here most of the day. i plug it in at night to avoid cold starts in the mornings. i ahve not had it flashed. oil is delo 15 40. it doesnt do it at every take off. it did it about 3 times today but hadnt done it for close to a week. idles fine. it does seem to whistle a little more than usual at times. could htere be fuel delivery issues?
