Am I the only one who thinks its crazy to have to dump 1500-2000 bux into a 55 thousand dollar truck that is bone stock ???
Ford has a problem with the radiator and now doesn't want to pay..... this is total BS.
build a good product and you wont have these issues.
the customer shouldn't have to pay for a crappy product, thats why I stopped buying chevy's.

TSB 11-1-7

Got my truck used, now has just over 48K. The radiator's leaking on the bottom driver's side at the seam between the metal and plastic. Called Ford Customer Service, and they set me up with the dealer for a check on the leak and to do the 11B23 reflash, which I had no idea existed up until then. I'm taking copies of both TSB 9-23-1 and TSB11-1-7 which supercedes 10-17-9. Like you said, the latest TSB has no diagnostic check before the radiator and thermostat removal and inspection...11-1-7 does state that "Hyper-extension is the only thermostat failure mode that causes radiator damage", and also has NOTE: WARRANTABLE REPAIR FOR THE THERMOSTAT UP TO 5 YEARS OR 100,000 MILES. HYPER-EXTENSION OF THE THERMOSTAT WILL PROVIDE RELATED DAMAGE COVERAGE FOR RADIATOR BEYOND THE EXISTING 3 YEARS AND 36,00 MILES RADIATOR COVERAGE. I guess this is a good thing if my thermostat is bad...just hoping it is. I bought this rig for "Ford Tough". I'll be mighty disappointed if this radiator needs replacing for no obvious reason at only 48K.

I agree completely. Ford is definately not doing the right thing here.
