ya they found to many were being done under warranty because management want them doen that way. so they rewrote the thing for a visual inspection only.. pass or fail. they call the parts back too.

Off topic, what is your take on the 11B23 flash?

I dont spend enugh seat time to have any real data on it.
I will say they have changed a little bit to do with the wif light. there is now a wif light reset function on the ids. this leads me to belive that you can no longer just clear the wif dtc.
we have had no customer complaints about it that have made it back to the shop either.

My truck doesn't vary the temps much at all when cruising down the highway, so I just figured my T STATS were ok. But I did notice that the big rad hose running along the bottom of the radiator doesn't get hot like the top one. Which is strange to me, because the upper rad hose gets extremely hot, and the bottom is always cool to the touch. Unless the radiator works so well that it's cool by that point. Can't see that though. Is that normal Cheezit?

that lower hose would to me be a good indication of good flow.

You mean the fact that it's cold is a good sign then? If you ever get the chance, would you just feel it on your truck once it's at operating temp? I'm just curious if the T STATS can be bad and the temps not indicate it like it's stated on the TSB. Ford's been known to put out some "incomplete" info before

I will do that in the morning and see if mine is cold or hot. If it is cold that would be a good thing as the lower one is the inlet to the motor.

I like to fix things just one time. My radiator is a on again off again leaker. I do not like the Plastic/metal radator design the two materials expand /contract at different rates. Sealing will always be an issue.

I contacted Ron Davis Radiators, and they told me that they had done a few 6.4 all metal radiators but there was a cost involved something like $2K. I spoke with the local Ford dealer and the replacement for my 450 is about $900.00 for just the radiator. Maybe with a large enough group buy/commitment Davis would concent to building this as a product line and bring the cost down closer to $1K.

Thouhgts?
