Someone Talk Me Into a 4-Link!!!

i have my leafs off of my 56 and i am contiplating getting a 4 link and coilover kit instead of new springs and hardware. i just cant make up my mind!! any thoughts??

Your truck will ride very nice with coilovers and 4 link, and the cost between the two kits is similar. Going 4 link will require a bit more welding, though. If you're good with that, you can't go wrong.

yes the cost is not too much more for the 4 link. so i am thinking that i will do that. so from installing the 4 link how much if any of a drop should i expect? right now i have flipped my axle so i have a good 4" drop.

Use a diagonal 4 link, not a parallel if your primary use is as a driver. A parallel 4 link is best for drag racing. Drop if any would depend on the lower perch height (get coilovers with adjustable perches if you want to play with ride height) and length/stiffness of the coil springs. If your coilovers use standard inside diameter springs, springs are available in a long list of specs and can be had inexpensively, so you can experiment until your heart's content. I'd say go for it.
PS: If you like your present ride height, make sure you give that info to the supplier so they can give you the right length shocks. Adjustable valving shocks would be very desirable.

thx for the replies! im scoping out the ride tech triangulated . good price, reputable company. And I'm also druling over the shockwaves but I cant see spending that much $ right now.
