I'd suggest you ask this question in the audio/video section of this forum which can be found here. Audio & Video Systems, Navigation, Satellite Radio and Mobile Electronics - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums By the way I have a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT in my 99 (shown below). Sorry I can't be much help to you with your 06.

Initially, it had a few bugs, but with software up-dates they've got those worked out. It also uses a Windows based software so there are some hacks and modifications that can be made if you're good with computers. They've since came out with a new model which are pretty much an up-dated version of mine. I can't really say there's anything I don't like about it except for some intermittent ipod connection issue, but I've heard that this is more an issue with the Pioneer cable that came with the unit. Most people I've heard with this issue have solved it by replacing the Pioneer cable with one made by Apple, I just haven't gotten around to doing this yet myself. Also you don't have the option to connect a CD changer up to it, I'm not sure if this is an option on the new model or not either. However since getting an ipod, I've found those to be less of a hassle, but I don't have my entire CD collection on it, and I don't think it would fit. I've had nothing but very good luck with Pioneer car systems over many years, and wouldn't buy anything else myself. If you'd like to look into the Pioneer models further, they can be found here.
