Here is the stripe in White with the truck in "Burnt Orange".

Here is the stripe in White with the truck in "Bright Lime". (I think, or maybe was that only a '73 Explorer Color? Maybe so...)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some other cool stripes (Not Factory)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Explorers are awesome! (No Matter the color) I've always wanted one.
Bill, how could you say such a thing? The stripes add cool-ness!
I remember three things 81Explorer pointed out:
1. Explorers are awesome
2. No Years for Explorers are the same, they are all different. (I have noticed in '73 there were no hood stripes, and the '75 hood stripes are different than all the years, in fact, every year, the stripes changed...)
3. Explorers were sold seasonal...Which, would explain the major differences...
Hey, 81 Explorer, I can't seem to find a Crew-Cab Explorer or F-250 or F-350 Explorer.
I should make my truck an Explorer! Red with White Explorer Stripes, There was no such thing as a Super Camper Special Explorer, I should make one!

That is the stripe for sure! I am working on a sketch of what I want my truck to look like when it's done. As soon as I am finished with the rendering I will post it here for opinions on the look that I want. The only thing that I haven't decided on is the color combo. I am torn between metallic blue with a white stripe, or metallic dark gray with a black stripe.

Yes they are it. I think you may be right about the dark gray/black stripe. That may be the way I am going to go. I already have some 15x10 black rims that will go great with that color combo. If I went blue/white I may be forced to get white wagon wheel rims because they would match better than the black rims.

I will do that for sure! Although, I may end up starting a new thread over at the dentside forum as to not aggravate anyone here at the bumpside forum. The only reason that I started this thread over here was to find out about the stripes because the first time I had seen one was on a bumpside, and therefor I thought it was a bumpside stripe package. I do appreciate the interest and all of the helpful responses from everyone that has chimed in.

The 1972 F-250 Explorer I had driven, was a Camper Special as well, so why not?
But the rules changed each year, and yes they were seasonal. Only made for a few months each year. They didn't even feature in the regular sales brochure. They had a brochure all their own when avaliable.
My favorite though is the 1976 Explorers, with the 1975's being a close second.
Anyway, before this gets into a explorer debate, glad that you found the stripe you wanted...

I found the exact stripe that I saw on that truck from my original post! These pics sre from a post on the bumpside forum. I'm sure, like NumberDummy said, it's probably not a factory stripe, but it does look like it is an older after market stick-on. I will post a rendering of what my truck will look like(as soon as I get done sketching it) on this thread, and on the bumpside forum.

The truck that I am building is a dentside, but as long as I am invited to share on this forum as well as the dentside forum, I suppose I could just keep posting updates on this thread too.

They may look cool to a teenager born in the 1990's, but to me, who was born during WWII and likes things left as original, the stripes look fugly as hell.

They are Original To.... '73-'79 Ford F-Series Trucks.
I see you changed your post.
You should have left it alone, as no one from my generation even knows what a REAL truck is.
Much less likes '61-'79 Trucks as much as me...
German forces surrendered in Italy on April 29 1945, and in Western Europe on May 7, 1945. On the Eastern Front, Germany surrendered to the Soviets on May 8, 1945. A German Army Group Centre resisted in Prague until May 11, 1945. On July 11, 1945, the Allied leaders met in Potsdam, Germany. They confirmed earlier agreements about Germany.
On August 15, 1945 Japan surrendered, with the surrender documents finally signed aboard the deck of the American battleship USS Missouri on September 2, 1945, ending the war. You were born LESS than a year before the war was over.
I was born on the 17th Anniversary of The King of Rock & Rolls Death, Big Deal....

No scheiss Sherlock!
Open your peepers, kiddo...I said the exact same thing in Post #2.
The day you tell me something about these trucks...that I don't already know, will be the same day as Hades freezes over.
How many members of FTE besides myself, have any Ford parts experience?
How many members of FTE have been in the car hobby for over 50 years?
How many members of FTE bought brand new: 1965, 1968, 1971, 1979 (and 1988, 1992 and 2004), Ford trucks?
