What Should I Look For?

I am looking at purchasing either a 2008 Explorer with a V-8 or a 2008 Explorer with a V-6. The V-8 has 60,000 miles and the V-6 has 90,000 miles. What areas should I be looking at specifically when I go to see/drive these vehicles? Problem areas? Is one more reliable than the other? Thanks for the advice.

I work on these daily for a living and if they are truly equal as far as condition, maintenance, etc., then go with the 4.6. They are far smoother, quieter, more powerful, more reliable, and the six speed in them is very tough. They get about the same mileage as well, although in pure city driving the 4.0 will be slightly better as it uses less fuel at idle.

Thanks. I have found the V8 to my liking!
