Transmission swap advice

I just recently purchased a 1995 F150 extended cab shortbed with the 300-6 everything works great great on the truck except the clutch. It currently has the M5OD transmission in it and I am thinking about swapping in my 1989 ZF out of my 1984 F150 extended cab shortbed with the 300-6. I know the 1995 does not have a speedo cable but the ZF does. Will this still work or will it need to find a ZF from a newer year.

That is what I was thinking but did not know if it needed a sensor there or if i could just plug the speedo and install. Getting ready to send the 84 to the crusher didn't know if I could use the trans or not thought I would ask first. Thank you.
