Thanks Melissa and with the addition of her, we have 4 bassets..... 3 females and one male. The rescue had an adoption fair today and there were 17 dogs available. There area another 15 heading this way in the next week and all of them are from 3 puppy mills in Iowa and Missuori

Thanks Shaun. Right now we figure that she is about 15-20 lbs underweight. We will be giving our vet a call on Monday morning to get her in for a physical and a good once over.

 

best of luck neil. adopting is a very good thing.

 

Neil I hope she checks out ok and just needs a few good meals to help her get back to normal.

 

Evening Ed, how is it down on the Island?

She has been to a vet in MO right after she was rescued and all the basic stuff checked out ok and was spayed before heading this way. She was at the vets earlier this week because she had a bit of a temp. and is on some antibiotics.

 

its nasty down here, wet,windy and a little sloppy sleet and flurries. busy work day. i'm shot...gonna head off to bed.

 

She's a good looking hound Neil, great going with the rescue, I wish more people rescued instead of buying them at pet stores.

 

we have some wind here now but it has stopped snowing.

Good morning New York, well weather here in Lockport is calm right now snow melted, and Sun is shining, Mike and our oldest and Dad did not go hunting today Dad called first thing this morning saying he was sick so Mike and Michael stayed home, good maybe they can help decorate the house with me lol yeah like that will happen lol,

Hey good morning everyone. Had an interesting start to the morning. Mollie sleeps in her crate at night because she likes to get into things. Usually if she wants out before we get up she will scratch and whine some until we get up. Well today at 7 we heard her scratch and whine then all of a sudden there was this very large WOOF!!!!!!!!!!!! It was Annabelle letting us know that something was up. Daisy and Buddy along with my wife & myself all jumped out of bed wondering WTH was going on?? That was the first bark that we have heard her make.

Nice and sunny here today and I am planning on doing some outside work in a little.
