Baby seats and extended cabs

Guys/Gals with the extended cabs...can a baby seat be properly installed in the back seat? I might be in the market for an F150 and I am leaning towards an extended cab rather than the crew cab...seems like the extended cabs have a bigger bed and I like that. I want to make sure that the baby seats will work in the extended cab's back seat.

Thanks!

Yes they fit

I have an ext cab 2002 f150 and my son fits just fine in the back center. If the child is very tall at all though you cannot have the front seat all the way back. Mine is one notch up and still very comfortable. note that you might want to wait a bit before switching the child to front facing because it is hard to recline the seat back due to the back seat back being straight vertical. Hope this helps

'01 Ext cab F150 with forward facing child seat in the rear center. Never did the infant carrier in there, but I'm 99% sure it wouldn't be an issue. Only thing that I don't know how to secure is the 3rd point strap/hookup that comes off the top of the back of some child seats. My 4-runner has hookups on the back of the seat, but you don't have that option on the F150. Anyway, the installation with the seat belt sure doesn't feel like it's going anywhere.... FWIW.

Yup, no issues with the infant carrier in my '02 extended cab... my son is now 5 and has moved to a booster in the 'regular' back seats.

BTW, if you look at a newer F150, you can get the 6.5' box with a SuperCrew.
