Angry 96 f150 fires sometimes, sometimes it wont

i have a 96 ford f150 short cab 5.0 dual tanks, first it had an engine light on which was the crank shaft position censor, fixed it, still it just turned over and didnt start, changed cap and rotor it fired up, few days later didnt want to start, changed plugs, wires, coil, even after that i still have the same problem, my buddy did a fuel pressure test and the front tank was bad back tank was good, he says run it off the back tank, i did that, same problem, cranks but will not start, so i changed the fuel filter and fuel pump on the front tank, still am having a problem, it will fire sometimes but not all the time and when it does, it runs really good, i do not know what else to do, should i have changed the rear fuel pump also??? anybody have any suggestions?

You need to find out if it's fuel or fire first. Then go from there. Your truck doesn't have a crank sensor.
