Rocker Arm bolt torque?
I haven't posted here in years but here is my question.
First off I built this engine about 10 years and 70,000 miles
ago. Its a 351W originally a Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Co. Pro-Boss 5.8 EFI, probably 1993-1994? I built it with a E303 cam and Edelbrock Performer w/Holley 600 vacuum secondaries and stock 1978 vintage Ford ignition. The heads are non emission F3ZE?, maybe GT40s, heads are probably the marine version of the early 1990s Lightning truck parts.
I just replaced the head gaskets and it runs fine but I don't remember and can't find the bolt torque specs for the stock bolt down rocker arms. I torqued them to 25 ft. lbs. which is the spec that I could find for stud and nut mounted rockers.
My Chilton's only goes up to 1986 and it doesn't cover bolt down rocker arms.
Does anybody know what the spec is for these?
