Seat swap questions
I just bought a '99 x-cab and it has the split bench seats. The drivers side is power. Will the buckets with console from a '99-'00 be a direct swap? Has anyone put newer seats in and had problems with the swap? I also noticed that in '01 and up the seatbelts are in the seats but I have an '07 where I work and the seatbelts are back in the doors. The '07 is an XL. My '99 is an XLT. Thanks.

In the Excursion forum the seat swapping is done often. We in fact find it easier to find the seats/consoles from the pickups. (because there are way more out there) What we have found is the seat mounting points are all there, some just covered with carpet and not usually threaded. All you have to do is get the seat config you want, cut carpet, thread the prewelded nuts, and mount seats and tighten bolts. They all use a 1/2 bolt.
In the front the only difference is with the xtra cabs, the seat belts are in the seats and the rest are mounted on the pillars. You just have to match what you have, and just look up the config you want. If you have the buckets now and want to add the 20 section on the split bench you will have to remove the arm rests and cut off a small metal stop on the seat, or just pay for the complete set. Some are powered and some are not, again just look for the options you want. I just swapped out my center console out for the 20 section to make it a split bench 40/20/40.

I have not heard of any one using one from an F150. Some how I don't think the mounts will line up. All the F 250/350/450 should be good.
