Arrogant Chevy-fan experiences?
#31
I have quite a few Ford friends but I got a lot of crap when I was in school about how Ford sucked and a bunch of Chevy guys would gang up on me. I'd try to reason with them but eventually I would ignore it. They could never provide one good reason why Ford was so bad. They were always saying how Mustangs sucked yet in the class shop there was always Camaros that needed work or Chevy trucks that needed a lot done to them. What's funny is one of the biggest Chevy guys there that hated Ford with a passion bought a '79 F150 and wouldn't shut up about how badass it was for a week. I rolled my eyes.
Being a mechanic myself I'd say I have seen more Chevys come through the door than Ford. I've done a lot of work to them. I have my fun poking at them and all but I respect their vehicles. I like to dip my fingers in fire and say Chevy keeps out shop open lol.

Have met one or two of these kind of people, but don't really find many of them around. I'm a Ford fan without a doubt, but I can still appreciate other vehicles. I know people with modified imports (camber, rolled fenders, dropped, etc...), and even though that's not my thing I still have respect for what they've built if it's done tastefully. In the end we all share a common passion for vehicles, we just have different preferences. We can all throw around jokes about each others vehicles, but it's pretty much all harmless.
