John, I see what you mean. One other thing you might try is to copy the html code for the full size image to your profile and see if that works any better.
Also copy and paste the full size image code onto one of your posts like I did here. If it works okay, then maybe its just the confines of the 48x48 that's messing it up. If it's still not working right, maybe it's the gif itself that's causing the trouble.
I dunno. Hope Dennis can come along and help. If it can be done, he'll be the one to know how to do it!

thanks Scott...
it's nice to know someone else sees the problem besides me...
here's the code for the full size...
https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/sizeimage.php?&photoid=12105&.jpg
let's see it it works ???
I can look at the gif in animation shop (part of paint shop pro)
and it looks fine... I didn't even change the size... so I wouldn't think size was a problem... uploaded a second time to discount file transfer problems... I guess I'll just wait for Dennis...
thanks for your help

Hi Guys ,I just got home from Dearborn last night(Yawn)
I'm still tired.
I tried to use this inage for an Avatar once.
It won't work for an Avatar due to the bulk of thr motion & size.
Flash characteristics.
The size of the image is a false amount.
Perhaps if you can re-size it on your computer before uploading it again.
Then try it.
