I know the differences are subtle, but the face plate, ***** and buttons are not the same as the one pictured here. The chassis is a give away too.
I can see the minor differences in the ***** and faceplate, however, I don't see a different in the chassis. I just checked the five different radios that I have, and they're all different in some ways from each other.
Do you happen to know what year and model of car this radio come out of. That is what I will look for. Thanks again. You don't want to sell that radio so ya? Thanks again for all your help, Dennis
1956 thru today: 12 Volts. 1955 and earlier: 6 Volts.
A 1961/66 F100/1100, 1966/77 Bronco radio might fit.
1961/62's have tubes, the others have transistors. These AM radios do not have pushbuttons. This is a two piece design with a separate speaker.
The radio chassis fits behind the dash, the face plate in front of the dash. Two small round holes are drilled in the face of the dash for the *****, another for the wire for the bulb.

The 1960/63 Falcon/Comet radio somewhat resembles the 1949/50 radio as it has an ovate bezel. The el cheapo version has no pushbuttons, the "deluxe" version has pushbuttons.
A 1965/66 Mustang AM radio is another "shorty" that might fit.
