Wyoming BS thread for October-Let it fly!

All in good time.......all in good time, Tammie. Good afternoon everyone, looks like more snow for today. It shall make getting home fun. I hope the flu season ends quickly for not only Swine flu but a few others seem to be getting around but so far aside from not feeling well and a little cranky for a few days all is well so far for me. Hate to hear the young ones getting this stuff as it seems a little tough on them.

Good morning snowy Wyoming.......I made it home with the understanding that there was a good chance I would not be back at work today. I had wished that I had the 59 but was driving a 96 Buick but aside from the fact it was low to the road I got home OK.
The roads are closed today in both dirrections from Chugwater at this hour on I-25 so I doubt that I shall be going any where even if I wanted to. I shall be catching up on online Ford schooling today.......something I have been too busy to do too much of since I restarted work over a month ago.

Good morning Pat, from what I understand it is more fun today. I don't know all the details but had a nasty wreck on I-80 eastbound around I-25 that involved around 24 or so vehicles. The roads are shut down on 80 and 25 in the southeast end of the state going all the way to Wheatland around 6 this morn.
Sure wouldn't mind trading this for the rain I feel but it will do what it will.

Just left work again. No sense being out in this crap if I dont have to be. I planned on deer hunting on Saturday but like Scott said, I dont think 11 inches will accommodate that to well.
Here is a little excerpt from the paper today....
John Griffith, warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, said this morning that the winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. today, primarily because of high winds causing drifting snow and reduced visibility.
"Right now, we're expecting another two to three inches of snow today, but the big issue right now is the very stiff winds we have coming out of the north at 20 to 30 mph," Griffith said, noting that east-west roads will be a problem for travelers throughout the day.
The storm that began Tuesday evening has added enough snow already to break snowfall total records for the month of October. As of 6 a.m. today, Cheyenne had received 11.1 inches of snow, bringing the total for the month to 25.1 inches. That is 21.6 inches above normal and, as of midnight, breaking a record set in 1906 of 23.1 inches for the month of October.
