Pretty nice. I looked on the Y site for it and couldn't find it. What does it cost?

They are about $370. 30 or 40 less than the Blue Thunders. I sold my Blue Thunder on ebay for $375 in Dec., but only after being assured these were going to be available.

Next up is the debut of the aluminum heads. I cant afford them but still looking forward to their availability.

For special parts like the intakes, aluminum water pumps and timing covers that used to be made, and the heads to come, there is never any assurance they will be produced any length of time. So if there is something you want but put it off too long, it may be discontinued.

Bessie, have you fired up your 239 yet?

Charlie, are you planning on a set of alum. heads when they are released?

I've been waiting on those aluminum heads for, I'm thinking, 10 years now. I remember hearing of people putting down payments on a set and they have yet to materialize. Unfortunatley for me, probably fortunate for my pocketbook, I no longer have a Y-powered vehicle due to lack of space to rebuild/maintain it after moving 4 years ago.

That was an entirely different person and set of heads.

John has only taken money from his own pocket book in order to develop these. In the unlikely event that it does not happen, he will be the only one with money invested in them. Sounds like quite an incentive for getting them out there. It's going to happen this time!

Was he shooting for a top performance head, Or more of a streetable design? I recall reading about it at Y blocks forever and all they did was debate which style sould be produced. Just currious. I would be intrested in a set if They came asembled for under a grand. But only for a street head. A big port race head is not my cup of tea.
If, I want a small displacement race engine I will buy a 302 crate for less then a premium Y block rebuild. That is a fact jack.

To avoid confusion, I still rather have my Y.

If I remember right, they're going to be around 2gs assembled. Not much more than having a set of stock heads ported. They should be an excellent performing street head.
The Y is going to remain expensive to build for a while.

Brain, get that iron on the road! We need (and want) another Y on the street.

If someone wants to make a go fast machine, I have a set of fully ported 113 heads relatively cheap. Full port job on intake and exhaust runners, exhaust outlets shaped for headers, combustion chambers smoothed and polished. It doesnt look like I will ever get around to using them, so somebody should.
