power steering hose blew

wife just called and said a line blew off the under the hood and their is no steering on the truck 1995 PSD crew cab. She said the hose is connected to a metal elbow which came out of the side of the power steering pump. I am stuck at work and was hoping to pick the part up on the way home.
Any help or pics appreciated thanks Tom

It's always a good idea to take the old hose with you to the parts house as there will be several different configurations as a replacement application.

Good luck
Rog.

Always seems to happen at the wrong time....I guess there is no right time.
Not too hard to do. You might get lucky and just the return line clamp broke or came loose and it popped off the reservoir.

I'll assume you do NOT have a hydro-boost power brakes?

Pressure hose GATES Part # 360880 $22
Return hose GATES Part # 370660 $15

i had the same thing happen yesterday, hose blew in the same spot, advanced auto had the hose in stock changed it out in the parking lot in 15 mins, the gear box end was a bit of a pain but i used an tubing cutter and just cut the line to get it out of the way and then removed the 1/2 inch nut. the new one went in pretty easy. 28 bucks including an quart of powersteering fluid although you only need about an 1/2 quart

Ever watch a women try to get out of a spot and they turn the wheels to the limit and then some? How do I know it causes the high pressure hose to blow ... , I'm on the second wife.

No mater how hard I try to explain it to them they just don't get it. My wife, sisters are not allowed to drive my rig as each and every one does the exact same thing.
