Odd problems

Hey guys, I just bought a 65 F-100 and its in pretty good condition, BUT it has two drawbacks: 1) the brakes take FOREVER to stop the truck and as a person used to disc brakes, I am have to STOMP the pedal, and 2) The shifter... if you don't use the proper amount of pressure, the shifter will freeze and I have to reset it manually

The 61-66 forum listed above this one might help better. The '65 F100's have the TTB and is a newer design than these old things. BTW, welcome to FTE! I would have to think a 2wd disc brake rotor would be a straightforward swap, though. And a later dual MC.

im sorry for the mispost. I'm probably going to put disc brakes on the front. I have no mech aptitude, so I might have to find help. I also need to fix the shifter.
