Unfortunately if I want to do any wheeling I got to drive there and to be honest I really dont wheel it much different than if I had a trailer, but when your tires are almost bald and you have 351 with a 2bbl breaking stuff is a little harder to do lol.
if you are underpowered, instead of your axles still spinning, they repeatedly catch and release traction, thus putting a stress load on the axles that wouldn't be encountered with the power to keep said axle spinning
I'm having a hell of a time finding new tires at the moment. Right now I got a 315/75/16 on the truck which is basically a 35x12.50 and have been looking for something close to that for cheap. All I can find used are mall-terrains and bald bfg mt's.
I do get what yall are talking about with the catching and binding and agree completely, I had that in my old f150.
check the net for offroad clubs in you state, their sites almost always have a classified section. you might have to drive a few hours to get to em, but it sure as hell beats the price of new tires if you find the right deal. pirate has a huge classified section that has items from coast to coast. might want to check there too, but watch where you post, they're pretty rough on newbs with dumb or misplaced questions
