Need help with '94 ignition... no spark!
Help!
'94 Aerostar, 3.0 auto 2wd, 165k miles
Running a little rough at higher rpm so I replaced the fuel filter.
Now she turns over but won't start.
No spark on any plug wire.
No codes besides 111
I've replaced the cap, rotor, TFI module and coil. Plugs are still young.
Started only once after I replaced the cap. Ran for a minute with a bit of peddle then it quit running with I let off. No spark after that. Got a code 212 and then I replaced the module and coil. Code is cleared but still no spark.
What to do next?

may be the Hall effect sensor plate, sensor under the rotor or wiring connector got damaged when changing the rotor. check with a mirror or pull distributor.
link for testing Hall effect sensor.

I have not swapped out the distributer yet, but I'll see if I can do the test mentioned in the article. Thanks for the info.
I've learned how to work on this heap while leaning over upside down between the front seats. What were the designers thinking when they came up with this arrangement? Now I know why every Aerostar forum has instructions for removing the engine! I have two 302 engines sitting on the bench but this truck is far too rusty to bother swapping one in.
Cheers!
