In Iraq and wife having runability problems AGAIN

I have a 2004 F250 XLT with the 6.0. It keeps having sensor problems were it runs fine, then it stalls idles down then shoots out a huge plume of black smoke then runs hard. It keeps doing this over and over. I have had the sensor replaced 3 times. It is under warranty, but I have a 100 dollar deductable. This will be the fourth time and I am getting fed up. She needs a vehicle while I am here. This is our family/tow vehicle. Any suggestions before I have to yet again eat $100?

A CLOSE nephew did 3 tours there and now that he is home safe I feel obligated to help!

More than 2 times and I'd be having a heart to heart with the dealer....
they are misdiagnosing it I'll bet.. which dealer ?

Let's see what the forum comes up with and we'll go from there!

I have free long distance and can 'discuss' with them if you'd like .....
Don't give any private info out here, though....
when the time comes, if u can have your wife contact me I will try to help ! especially here in Texas !

Thank you !

I had a 04 with the same problem. It turned out to be the turbo was rusted up. They replaced it and all was fine until the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th time. Then the truck went bye bye and all has been good so far with the new one. I will tell you that after the 5th one i chaged to Mystek oil and never had another problem out of it. Dont know if that was what cured it or if they finally put in a good turbo. At a minimum I bet your turbo needs to be cleaned because of the veins sticking and when they open all at once it does leave a nice plum of smoke out the tail pipe.
