hey guys just introducing myself on here, got a 77 F250 with a 351 modified in her. she was sitting for over a year when i got her just a little over a week ago. surprisingly a new battery and some gas was all it took to get her running. since then i have changed a few things and am doing headers and exhaust now. thinkin about pickin up a 4bbl and new intake for her but well see. In the next year or so i wanna swap out the inners to make her a 400M

thanks yea shes in decent shape. theres some rust above the rear fender on the other side i gotta take care of before i can get her painted but i have been mostly tryin to catch her up on maintenance. had cracked exhaust manifold then had to replace the spark plug wires so i just went ahead and did cap rotor plugs and all that to give her a tune up. got snow tires put on her and need to find some rims for the spring time when that rolls around

Hi guys/gals
I'm Josh(username Snowymountainman) and I'm located near Columbus, Montana (45 miles west of Billings). I joined this site a month or so ago and haven't posted much since I believe in reading what has already been written. I hate wasting peoples time answering questions that have already been answered for others. And it's worked well because because of this site I have been able to answer almost every question that has come up.
I have been a mopar guy for most of my life so don't hold it against me! Late last year I purchased a 1979 Bronco from a good friend of mine. It's a sport model that has all the options (Cruise, A/C, Bucket seats) and also has a great running 460 transplanted into it. It's an animal! Here's a picture of it:
And the project that brings me to the site is a 1978 F250, 3/4ton, 4x4. I picked it up for $800. It had a 400 in it that had a bunch of go-fast goodies on it (eddy 4bbl intake, eddy cam, Hooker headers, 0.030 pistons) but the oil pan was missing at least 3 and maybe 4 bolts. The entire underside was covered in oil. The PO must have ran it out of oil at one point. The #8 rod journal was GONE...by a 1/16"!! I have never seen one so bad! So needless to say, I'm rebuilding the engine right now and hoping the block cleans up at .040 over. Otherwise I'm looking for a good 400 block.
I've rambled long enough! I look forward to BSing with you guys.

79 Ford F-150 and 04 FX4
Hi everybody, my name is Kyle(79CAMOFORD) I grew up in White Sulphur Springs and now live in Great Falls thanks to the AF. My 79 is a single cab short box powered by a 400 and a 38 gal. gas tank to feed it LOL. It also has a camo paint job(spray can) from the PO. Some day I will repaint it, I think. My 04 F-150 is a Screw with an edge programmer, CIA and I have taken off the FX4 stickers to give it a cleaner look. Thanks again and can't wait to BS with everyone.
