f-150 supercharged OVERHEAT

hey guys i need some help. i have an 01' supercrew with a magnuson supercharger on my triton 5.4 turning about 4-5 lbs of boost. heres the problem... my truck is overheating at idle on really hot days and when im riding around town. as long as im on the road doing over 40 or 50 i never have this problem. i installed a high performance radiator and heat exchanger (lighting upgrades from lightning force performance) at the end of last summer and im still having problems. last week i put a 160 degree thermostat and i think its makin things worse. i just got off the phone with a guy from magnuson and he thinks i need to get my engine dynoed and retuned cuz he thinks i may be running too lean.. im hoping some of you experienced guys can kinda point me in the right direction. id hate to burn this thing up or blow a head gasket. i really need to cool this puppy down. i want this thing to idle all damn day with the ac on high and not have any trouble with overheating. help me out please. thanks

I would say get a good custom tune......ofcourse I would've done a custom tune instead of the canned tune from magnuson from the get go. Well worth the extra money. Did the kit come with a programmer or did you have to send them the ecu to get reprogrammed? If you already have the programer it should be $150 or $200 to get it tuned.

no i dont have a programmer. all i know is that i have a superchip that plugs in under the passenger side console. i had the chip in the truck before i put the supercharger on, and i had to send it off to get it recalibrated for the supercharger. but this was all done 6 years ago. i havent messed with anything since then. the overheating is something iv been dealing with for the past few summers. i just cant seem to figure it out. and as for my fan... its an electric fan and yes it is working. and from what iv heard from past mechanics and some friends that do some drag racing, they say the fan is plenty big enough. i dont know the specs on it, but i could find out if i need to
