I recently purchased an 09 Escape and am going to be adding the cross bars for the roof racks, however I have not been able to find any ladder clamps that say will attach properly.


Most of the ones I have ran across bolt into the roof. I would like some that attach to the roof racks/cross bars.

Would like to know if you guys have any recommendations.

 

What are you looking to carry?

For professional ladder bars, your looking at the clamp on or bolt on models that don't use the stock rails. There are more hobby type carriers such as yakama that will have parts to bolt to the cross bars and if you need cross bars, perry craft should have them aftermarket.

Perry craft has a couple of bar options, but I can't recall them right now. I think they support upto 400lbs per rail.

 

Just looking to carry a ladder or two every once in a while. They would be no more than 10ft long, if that....

I will take a peak at the brands you listed to see what I can find...thx for the tip.
