1951 ford brakes minor adjustment any tips on how to do it. I want to move the pads away from the drum

 

This is a duplicate thread.

Use an adjustment tool and flip the adjuster until the drum starts to drag, then back it of a couple turns. The manual doesn't specify up or down. If they are too tight, you will only get a turn or two in the tightening direction. Once they start to drag go the other way.
