Me either. My appointment is not until next Tue but i'm sure looking forward to smooth power in the rain. Let us know how it worked out once you have a chance to test out the replacement cooler.

I'm telling you it is a night and day difference, the new intercooler looked like the fins were a little bit wider than the old unit. I did not have a micrometer with me so I just used a simple ruler.
later ya'll.................

So i guess its that huge radiator in the front? I hope so as last time my truck was in they stuck their foot into it smashing alot of the fins. A new one would sure look nice.

it is the first one you see. You can follow the tubes coming from it and tell it feeds into the turbos. I hope this helps with that excessive lag and hesitation for you...my 6-gun should be today!

Just had this completed on my truck this week. Paperwork states TSB 08-25-1. They replaced CAC COOLER ASY (front radiator). Will see how it works this weekend.

They also address TSB 09-4-1 - AC ACCUMULATOR ASSY - thumping or bang noise from the A/C unit. This noise happened each time the A/C engaged.

We look forward to your testing. Any chance of rain for you this weekend? If so let us know how it ends up.

Does anyone know what the differences are with the new CAC? I have an early Job1 but haven't had any issues with white smoke that wasn't fixed with a new flash. I haven't had any problems towing in rain either. I'm just curious what's changed and why it would make smoke.

Also, what's the issue with the A/C? Mine has always made a thumping noise when the A/C engages, I just thought it was normal. It's never bothered me, but I have had at least one other person ask what it was.

PHX, my early job 1 (06/07) only does the rain dance when I have a lot of weight slowing me down. I mean, if the engine downshifts, runs 2500-3000 rpms, boost pressure in the mid 30's, you're climbing a hill, and you are just able to maintain 60-65mph, like, not slow down any more. This is when my engine sputters when it's raining or really hot and humid.

Let's call it the "rain dance" from now on, sounds better.

Hah nice.. I like the name. Well I've never ran into the issue. We don't get a ton of humidity out here in AZ.

I can remember pulling some long steep grades in the rain without problems. I seem to get the highest boost in the rain. One trip coming out of verde valley it was raining and I was only pulling maybe 2k or 2.5k. I hit 40psi of boost for several miles without fluctuation(Yes it was very steep and I was probably doing a bit over the speed limit). I've never seen it since. The only thing I can think of is the extra humidity in the air doing something strange. No rain dance though. My build date is 02/07. I pre-ordered in mid 2006. Maybe the engineers were paying special attention to the first few batches

Just towed my boat this weekend 180 mi round trip. For the first time in a year or so no white smoke or hesitation. Keeping my fingers crossed that the replacement of the CAC COOLER ASY - TSB 08-25-1 - did the trick. This morning - bright sunny day (Houston always humid) no problems. On the way home around 1p CT - the rain just came down in buckets - still no issues. I'll continue to monitor.

I hope that is your fix. I never had the problem I but I can understand the frustration.

I have a 2008 F350 built in April of 08. Will I get a letter from Ford on this TSB to get it fixed or will I have to ask my dealer about it to get it done? I only have 2500 miles on it but no problems so far.
