A blessing with a problem

Hi there, My name is Killian i'm from Maryland (HOCO) and this is my first post on ford-trucks.com/. I have owned a 2002 Chevy Avalanche 1500 with extensive modifications ranging from intake manifolds to full on porting and polishing as well as cams and head work. My current daily is a 1996 e150 conversion van with a 351W and an E40D. I have swapped in a trac -loc and 4.10s and have plans of swapping the mottor into another vehicle in the future. My baby is an 08 Bullitt Mustang. Only mods are 4.10s and Pypes Muffler deletes (only on when cruisin).

I have been fortunate enough to pick up a free truck recently. It gets better; the truck is a 1990 F-Super Duty with a 460 and what i believe to be a ZF5-42 (1,2,3,4,D,R), it has under 100,000 miles and has no rust anywhere, not even on the frame or suspension, has been a warehouse truck it's entire life. It is a flat bed and starts in 1-2 seconds (aka it feels fresh) The reason it was free was because of a transmission Problem. The problem is, the clutch is not coming all the way back up, when pressed down , and the truck is always in gear (even in neutral) , however when I push in the clutch the driveshaft stops spinning (i have the rar drive shaft off, it was towed) , when i let go of the clutch (even in neutral) it spins. I think it's a clutch problem or a slave cylinder problem, shift linkage too mabye? but i do not know. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to FTE. Sounds like clutch hydraulics to me too. I'd start there.

By clutch hydraulics, are you refering to the lines themselves that run to the master cylinder or the slave cylinder itself?

I was referring to the whole system. The master or slave is usually what fails. Unless the lines have a leak, they should be fine.
