Highest suspension lift 2WD?

Hi everyone. I found some suspension lifts for my truck, '94 F1 2WD. I was wondering what the highest suspension lift I could go from stock before things start to really get involved. I want to keep this simple. Is 4'' too high? I really want another 3'' in suspension. Because my truck is 2WD will this mean my driveshaft will need to be lengthened or anything?

What I'm trying to ask is this; How high of a suspension lift can I go before things get messy? I don't want to mess with the driveshaft or anything like that.

Thanks guys. I'm sure this is a simple question to you all but I'm just getting into this suspension stuff.

-Bill

i can put a 6 inch lift on my truck and the driveshaft will be fine, they can extend and shorten, we discovered this when we did my neighbor's mud truck

I thank you for your reply but you confused me, lol! Are you saying you have to lengthen your driveshaft with a 6'' lift?

I want a 4'' lift. Would my driveshaft need to be lengthened?

The d-shaft has a slip joint in it to account for the extension/compression of the suspension under normal use. You have a twin-I beam front right? I've never dealt with 2wd front ends, but seems to me it would be the same theory as the IFS fronts on the new 150s, and that you can only lift so much before the arms have to be replaced.
