NJ state Inspection help

so i get a pretty clean 92 F-150 that sat for a year... i get it running ok, i tag it and my wife decides shes gonna get it inspected while im at work, Yea well if only i knew... It FAILED it wasnt ready... SO now idk what to do ... i dont have the $ get the things it needs fixed.. Anyone have any ideas? id really appreciate it

Find a friendly service station that does NJ Inspections and hope for the best.

What part of the state are you from?

What items did they fail the truck on? Emissions, brakes, suspension? You have 45 days to correct problems, if not ,you can bring it back and get additional 45 days, you can still use truck.

i failed for Emissions, Steering lash, rear brakes outta adjustment, Front gas cap, Headlight, ..... i fixed the Headlight, gas cap,

"Steering Lash". WOW. The last time I had steering lash checked was on my '87 3/4 ton when I had stability testing done in Lodi for the 7" of lift I had installed...

Steering lash is probably excessive play,maybe bad tie-rods or steering arm, emissions can be several different items, on your printout, does it show high hc or co readings?
