My headers on my 1979 F250 are getting bad. The engine is a 390 that I was told was built using 428 parts? Not sure yet. Still trying to find the original owner/builder. Does anyone know if the headers have to be custom or would standard 390 headers fit in my 79'

as far as i know 360 390 428 are all the same except for the guts but not 100% just what ive been told

 

i've heard that fenderwell headers for the 390 on these frames need to be clearenced a little bit, but not sure about the chassis exit headers.
