Dead 99 f350 ps

I have a '99 f350 with 7.3. We have been trying to find out why it will not start. Replaced some sensors and checked compression 310 to 400 lbs. We also tried using a slight amount of either with engine cranking, still nothing. In calling ford we were told that if there is electrical problem such as the ECU the engine will not fire even with compression. Has anyone heard of this before or any ideas? Thanks.

First thing, NEVER use starting fluids on these engines. Glow plugs and starting fluids don't mix. How are your battries? The IDM needs to see 10.5v in order for it to tell the injectors to fire. Have you changed the CPS sensor? You said some sensors but you were not specific. What has been done so far? Can you read the codes?

It makes perfect sense. It takes a lot more than compression to fire these motors. I could unplug a sensor or pull a fuse and it would keep a truck in perfect condition from starting.

Why don't you go back and answer the questions you were asked in your other thread so we can help narrow this down?

I'm guessing he's more active in another forum and maybe forgot he already started a thread about it here. I couldn't help myself, so I clicked on the little edit button in his post and it takes you to a different forum. I couldn't see what the other guys were saying since I'm not a member there.

He must be good in the forums, thats a cute little edit thingy. And he may be used to waiting for days for a reply on the other forums.
