Just a quick poll question. Was curious what most of you decide when it comes to your tires for your Expedition - white letters or black letters out? And, why do you chose it that way?

Personally, I like the white letters out. I think it gives my Expy a sportier look. I have seen a few silver Expy's with the SAP around my hometown who run blackwalls out and I just don't think it looks right. But, it's all personal choice. There is no right or wrong answer here. Just curious!

 

I'm with you. I like the sporty look of having the white out. The fact that my truck is black only adds to that fact.

 

Thats how it was when I bought it, but I like white letters on trucks. I have had them on all my trucks and when I get home in a couple months I'm buying new tires with white letters again.

 

I prefer black out as I am a long way from stock under the hood and I am going for the sleeper look.

 

I've done both on my Expy's. Right now both the black one and the red have whites out. The red one was nice with black out, the black one was "too black" since it is a EB premium it has no chrome or contrast color so it was just too much.

 

White out looks better imo.

 

It depends on the tire and the truck. That being said, I think that white out looks good on most Expeditions

 

White out for sure! Especially if we're talking BFG All Terrain T/A's or Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's..

 

I agree with MisterCMK, depends on tire and truck. For ours, it's black out. Two reasons: 1. the wife got tired of me complaining that the tires were dirty and needed to be cleaned all the time and 2. just looks better that way on ours, even though they are Bridgestone Dueler Revo's (birchy)

 

I think most trucks look better with white letters out. Overall its just a matter of personal taste

 

as said above, depends on the tire and the color of the vehicle. for instance, i love my white letters out on my estate green truck with michelin LTX tires. but, my boss has a black EB with the continental junkers. i do not like the letters on that particular tire for some reason, but it would be "too black" if the letters were in.

that being said, if i was running the conti's on the green truck, i'd have letters in. i don't see myself switching from the michelins, so it's white out for me!
