Yep, 80's and still cooling off at night. Went to the Demo Derby at the fair Wednesday night and it was just beautiful.

Play day tomorrow, get to see what thecar can actually do!!

Update:

Raced in Lovelock last Saturday, the car performed muy excellante, went from last to first in 1 lap, was going great untill this happened:

Yep, those parts were collected off the track........he's very happy with the overall performance of the car though, and we do have more parts.

This just in from the work bench - 4 broken pistons, 4 broken rods, 4 bent (up to 90) rods (used the pricey ones this time, worth the money it seems), crank in 4 pieces and the cam in 6, block has a few chunks missing, but on the up side the top end is perfectly fine!

Well, it's not a Ford....let's just say the distributor is in the wrong place. The reason for that is the price and availablity of parts, I would prefer a nice 460, the Mr. has threatened to take the one out of the boat though...

It's a 400 but now puts out way more than the stock 150hp!
