03 F350 - peeling paint

I have a white 03 F350 and the paint is coming off the roof. After some brief research I found a discussion about factory paint that was too thick and thus vulnerable to cracking due to thermal expansion. I am inclined to accept this theory as this truck was always a flat land truck until I bought it this fall and brought it home to the mountains - 4200' - and subjected it to snow and polonged temps under 30 degrees f. I'd like to know if anyone else has seen this or heard of it and if anyone knows if Ford is taking any respnsibility. I looked over recall info and didnt see anything. If I have to I'll re-paint the roof, but I've never been thrilled with my paint skills.

My truck ('03 F250) has BAD peeling paint on the hood. You can see it in my gallery. Wonder if it's the same problem...

It's good to see another "Regular Cab" Super Duty owner out there!

Hahaha yeah, I love it. Ever since highschool I have been wanting this exact truck (well, not exact,I'd like the PSD and manual hubs and 4x4 and a manual tranny but...). Couldn't pass it by when I found it.

Super Duties are like careers... you don't find them, they find you!
