88 Ranger Rust over rear wheels

Hello--What is the beat way to repair the rust over the rear wheels on the sides of my 1988 Ranger? thanks

either have someone cut out a section around the rust or do this your self and then take a body panel from an aftermarket supplier such as JC Whitney and custom fit and wield it in place. this would be a better way, in my opinion, than using bondo which has the possibility to fall out over time. myself i would have a good body shop to do this repair, because i lack the skill in doing the fix myself.

It depends on the degree of rust. If you have actual hole and they are large, I'd consider replacing the section with a new one. If the rust is small holes and regular surface bubbles, I'd use heavy sand paper and a wire bruch to clean the area. Use denatured alcohol to clean the area. the use Sem's RustMort or Por15. the rest is regular body work stuff. Don't forget the underside, you can wire brush it and use RustMort or the RustFix from Dupli-color, it comes in a spray can for about $5.
