Hey Dave----

I don't read webmaster language.

I'm just reporting a problem with the pages opening.
When they don't open I miss out on all the advertising that I get for free by not paying the fee.

First make sure you are logged off… then clear ALL your cookies/cache, …then run-disk clean up check ALL and dump, then de-frag you HD restart and log in…ALWAYS log off when done.
by the time you did all that ???? you'd have forgotten what you were doing it for ??? I hope his tongue was in his cheek... de-frag your hard drive ??? that ALWAYS clears up my page loading problems... and er...balances my check book and er... washes my dog..... er

I don't think I've ever logged off... I don't know how I don't think

I could buy that solution if the problem was always the same but it doesn't seem to be as bad every time you log on. Certain times are worse than others...like now for instance.

I got the same message when I sent in my complaint.....That's typical...first thing the IT guys say at work "reboot your machine"....they like to point a finger at the user instead of looking at the site. I don't have these problems with the other three forums I visit.

Yes, the Super chips sidebar appears to be involved.

OH - Please understand that the above prescribed procedure only works for the first time the Superchip Ad loads. The next time (and they can be back to back) the Ad tries to load you are back to a non-loading page.

Yes Penn Dick has hit the nail right on the head!

One of the MAJOR problems that is causing all these things is all this ANIMATED ADVERTISING GARBAGE that has been put on all the pages. It is protocoled to open first. And with most of our computers, unless you have one that is less than two years old, that animated junk is going to occupy your active memory so much that it will not be able to work fast enough to bring up the entire page.

Take a look next time and see if the pages you are having problems with or you are getting the error cue on don't have some type of video type animated advertisement running on it.

Only two things are going to fix that: less junk occupying up a page on the site or you buy something to give you computer more active memory (the part of it that runs all you open programs while you use the computer).

At least that is what I was told by oneof my best friends who is a Programming and Software Manager for EDS and knows quite a bit about computers.

Julie's got it ....

also updating java script programs will help 'some'...

this 'new' stuff (junk) is now all over evay with ads everywhere...as these web programmers 'make busy work' to justfy their job.... most systems don't have enough memory... and the 'new' vista program EATS memory...

Working pretty good tonight. Better than in recent memory AND I don't see all the animated ads trying to pop up. Everything is loading fairly fast and it sure is nice.
