Y2K F-150 4X4, front tires.

Got a bud who has a front tire wear, on the inside of the tires? Brand new tread, less than 5-6K on them kinda scalloped? Is that shocks or front end (U/L A-arms, I/O tie rods, U/L ball joints, etc.) kit?

could be any of those things just check them accordingly. I'd start with easy stuff (shocks and tie rod ends) first.

perhaps it just needs an alignment though, when i went to take mine in they told me i needed a idler and pitman arm so see if you can get a free inspection, then if they say something is wrong go back home check it yourself and replace.

Yea, that's kinda what I thought. Heard shock would make 'em do that? I have a 97 XLT 2WD, it didn't do that but it wasn't 4x4. Thanks.
