manual trans for 302

I have a 1952 F1 and I was wondering what would be a good 5 sp manual transmission to be used with a 302.

I have searched the forum and I couldn't find anything.
Any help would be appreciatted.

I think the T5 would probably be what you are looking for and they are plenty to be found especially with the mustang and S10 vehicles. Do a search on T5 transmissions and you should find a lot of information.

If you use an s-10 t-5 don't you have to use a different imput shaft?

And another question isn't the mustang t-5 not the right length to go through the floor?

For your application, you use a Mustang T5 (from a V8) with a Chev S10 tailshaft housing. That moves the shifter up where you want it. T5 part interchange makes this fairly easy, so they say.

Info, and they responded to my e-mail very quickly:

Modern Driveline - T5 / TREMEC TKO Transmission Conversion - 5 speed & 6 speed solutions to swap your Ford Mustang, Falcon, Cobra, Hotrod into Overdrive! Performance Parts

There have been a number of posts about this in this forum. Scroll through this forum back about 10 pages, you might hit one. Some deal with T5 to Flathead, some with your question.

Good luck.
