Ram Air hood

I am thinking of adding a ram air hood and induction system to my '96 F-150. I am mainly doing it for the looks of the hood but i was wondering if anyone had added one of these before and if I will notice any performance gains. Any help here would be appreciated.

Ram Air hood

LAST EDITED ON 06-Jul-01 AT 01:16 AM (EST)[p]While I haven't put a ram air set-up on my truck, I did on my 68 GT and researched the physics behind it at the time. Adding a free-flowing air system over a restrictive stock intake will aide performance somewhat, but you really won't see much extra from the ram set up itself. Ram air systems don't begin boosting performance untill well over 100mph, so unless thats the way you drive....

They do look cool though, huh

If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.
