Took my tailgate latch assembly out to repaint and basically clean, now it's not working at all ... story of my life.

So I'm looking for either (a) help with how to reassemble correctly, or (b) replacement or upgrade options for the tailgate latch (release assembly?) for the 67-72 styleside pickup... I've also posted in that forum.

PS: I've checked the online store... we have the release handle and the side latches only, unless I'm reading the catalog wrong.
