Boys, I'm on a roll.
Got dinner reservations made for Vday too.
No fear though, I've done my duty to keep the woman happy. She WON'T be getting (or needing) flowers or a card.

Good. Now I can let Gail read this like she always does.
"What do you mean romantic? The schlub didn't even get her a card or flowers".
Thanks for leaving us a little room.

I should have put a disclaimer on it saying "Men's Eyes Only".
Spa and a dinner ain't bad. Flowers and a card would be overkill and cliche. Like she'd think I'm expecting something.
Actually, I happened to luck out. As I was ordering her spa package, there just happened to be an opening for 9 AM Vday. I was okay with some other day, but what the heck, it was the last available spot for that day. And for the dinner, I figured it was too late, but I had to try. I knew I already hit a home run with the spa, and sure enough, I got a seating for 2 at 9:30 PM. And free parking to boot. So there's enough time for me to get home from work, get all cleaned up, go to work on our new king sized bed, then off to dinner.
I wonder if I should drag out my suit for dinner that night...
Oh yeah, and I went to the bank today, made some adjustments to my investments, and before we finished up, she asked if I had any more questions. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask, so I posed a question about a credit card. Did they have a credit card that could beat my current one. Sho' nuff, she got me into one with 11.49%, $29 annual fee, and .99% for the first 6 months. That's better than the current 14.5%, $45 fee I currently have. And, I have the option to switch to a 13.5% no fee later.
Today must be my lucky day. I should go out and buy a lottery ticket.

Hmmm....
Ya know, I'm thinking gun stores, hardware stores, pool halls and such are missing the boat. They ought to be the ones selling the greeting cards. I'll guarantee you they'll sell more to men than Hallmark ever will.

I've only done that once.
I actually do put some thought into it, and I have gotten her some sappy cards. The one I got for her on our wedding day was the best though. I'll never be able to top that.

With a mindset like that, you should be working for Hallmark, and getting your foot in the door at gun stores, hardware stores and pool halls. Just think of the annual bonus you'd get.
