No such thing as WDH it's either WDF (Econoline) or WDM (F100).

4EC is prolly the build date: 3rd week (C) of May (E) 1964 (4).

No such ratio of 379.

Look at the backside of the tag, it may be easier to read.

Common Econoline E100 1961/74 ratios: 3.00 / 3.25 / 3.50 / 3.89

Common 1960's F100 ratios: 3.25 / 3.50 / 3.89.

thanx bill . i cleaned the tag up , and with some imagination was able to kinda make out what it really was . wdm 28 spline , 63-72 1/2 ton , 3;25 ratio . the tag had the 3 and 5 legible and the m was so messed up it took some patience and cussing but got it !!!!!!!!!! sounds like a good ratio for me and the flatty . might actually be able to go faster than 50-55 for long periods , and it wont sound like the flatty is going to fly apart from being so wound up . thanx again , and thanx to you julie .

Hey Bill, how can I ID the 70's steering column (tilt) I asked you about on the engine forum? I think it's from either a 77 or 79 F-150. I'm having nuetral safety switch problems. Tranny is FMX.

Where is the Neutral Switch, on the column or on the transmission? / On the column: 1973/77 / On the transmission: 1978/79

I haven't seen one on the exterior of the FMX, so I will ***-U-ME that it's on the column. Is it located behind the selector indicator?
