Hi All

What sort of MPG are you getting with the 6.0? I'm thinking of purchasing a 2003 250 with the 6.0.

Right now I am getting about 11 miles to the gallon. This with about 60 to 70% towing a 24' trailer with anywhere from 4000 lbs to 14000lbs

Thanks all for the info. Bustaduck you have the same year as the one I'm looking at. Any engine issues I should know about? Mine has 126000 miles on it. When you say keep it under 2000 do you have a manual or auto? If it's auto there 's not much you can do is there?

I got well the lie-o-meter on the last move I had 16 something and by the time I got to MISSISSIPPI at my location it was down to 10.6 or 8 . How do you keep everything below 2000rpm?While pulling I pull a 9000lbs camper bumper pull. Is there a trick to towing to keep it at or around 2000rpm? Is it a trick with the tow haul or what?

I know if you keep it below 2000rpm mpg goes to the good side. But what about when it gets hilly and the truck downshifts?( AUTOMATIC) This was my first trip since the ARPS were done. Always raising the hood, but watching the mileage .I guess I need to weight the camper or get my injectors cleaned or something I've never got that goo while towing. Is there something I'm missing??Thanks for the input!
