I think this is Feb. 6&7. I will probably attend again and maybe we could have a mini g2g there at noon on saturday. I know in the past some folks from the Wichita area also met for breakfast before going.
That's is probly gonna be the same this year. I think a few of us were going to meet at the Cracker Barrel for breakfast and head out. Haven't decided if I will take Fri off to go but I will definetly be there Sat.
Ticket to Cracker Barrel.... OK the food is good but you are going to fly there... kinda pricey for bisquits and gravy... Unless you are coming just to se us ;-)
I say we have breakfast, 7:00-8:00 - then maybe luch for the latecomers - (Pig in Pig out??) This might as well be the Jan G2G... interest seemed to "Fizzle" on that one.
Could be a fun chance to get together. I went over and did an inventory of stuff still needed on Old Smokey the 54 F250 and I ended up with a pretty long list. Maybe I can find a few things at the swap meet.
I have attended this swap meet for over 25 years. This will be the first year as a seller though. My brother and I will have a stall of Ford Model A parts that we will be selling from my Dad's estate. I will be bringing along a small stash of 1960s era parts from all the parts car stripping I do.
Here is the swap meet days / hours:
Friday Feb 6th, 8am - 6pm open to public ( note it is NOT 7am as in years past )
Saturday Feb 7th, 8am - 4pm open to public
FYI: Parking is either $2 or $3. I forget exactly. This is the Coliseum charging this fee. The Model A club running the swap meet has nothing to do with this. Admittance to the swap meet itself has always been free.
Do we want to leave the swap meet for lunch of just plan on gathering there at one of the food venders at noon? It is unlikely that those of us coming from up here will get on the road at O'dark thirty to be at the Cracker Barrel by 7:00 am.
