Installing CD Changer
I'm getting ready to install a Clarion CD changer in my 99 F150 SC. Any tips(preventing broken body panels, wiring suggestions, placement of the modulator under the passenger seat vs under the passenger console, placement of the chager under the rear driver's side vs anywhere else, etc.)? Also, and I know this is elementary for most of y'all out there, but how do I get the stereo out after I've removed the center console piece that holds the air vents? Is there a tool that fits in the 4 holes that just let me pop the radio out? Thanks

Installing CD Changer
>I just installed a JVC 12 disk into my 97 F150 SC. If you go to a respectible audio shop and ask for a head unit removal tool they may. I also heard about the U shape bent coat hangers, but they may get stuck in the small holes. After popping off the molding around the stereo, place the tool in the two holes on each side and with outward pressure pull the head unit out.
I connected the antenna wires then placed the module under the dash out of the way. I then put the changer in the center console where cd's could be changed easily without stopping. Less wires to run under the carpet also. The only bad thing is I couldnt put the tray back in the console. But we like the access to music.
Good luck.
