New Bumper..Pictures too.

Hello,
This past fall, i have been enrolled in a welding class and I needed a project to make. Therefore, I thought I could build that new bumper that I have been wanting for 3+ years now. Here are some build pictures and what it looks like on the truck. The materials were about 200 and the powdercoat was 100. I need to find some diamond plate to put on the top but thats too much $$ for now...let me know what you think.

Honestly, that is the best looking bumper in my opinion that I have ever seen!
Great job! How long did it take?

Looks good man, as said paint behind that, you could even use some sheet metal to hide it.

I've been interested in taking a welding course. Welding is something I have very little experience with, and would love to know more. Where are you taking the course? How much? How long is it? How long did it take to make the bumper? Thank You in advance.

Thank you for all of the comments. I plan on cleaning/priming/painting the frame when spring comes around (it was about 15 degrees out today). As I mentioned, I also want some diamondplate to put along the top (and possibly a skid plate) but funds are low now. I am a senior at the University of Illinois and this has definitely been one of the best classes Ive taken. I used about 22 feet of 3" od steel tubing with 1/8" wall and I think I have somewhere around 20-24 hours of work into it...mainly due to all of the fabrication and figuring out the angles. I think I could make another in much less time. I made a CAD (autodesk inventor) technical drawing of it that I can post with a little updating.
